Permanent makeup
Description - permanent makeup
Permanent makeup gives you the freedom to feel well-groomed from the moment you wake up: better-defined features, a clean look, and a style that lasts all day long, without touch-ups, smudging, or wasting time. At SMA Médico-Esthétique, our goal is simple: an elegant, natural result that suits your face, whatever your style.
Permanent makeup (also known as dermopigmentation) can be used to restructure, thicken, or balance different areas depending on what you want to improve. For example: fuller, better-defined eyebrows (natural or more defined effect), a more uniform mouth with a soft color, enhanced eyes (eyelash line/eyeliner effect), or subtle adjustments to correct slight asymmetry and restore definition where it is lacking. The final result is always approved by you, based on your morphology and the desired intensity.
Before the session, we take the time to confirm the shape, shade, and intensity level to avoid any surprises. The pigment is then applied in a controlled manner; an anesthetic cream is usually used to improve comfort. Please note: the color may appear darker at first, then soften during healing, which is normal.
Our aesthetic and medical services, including permanent makeup, are available to residents of Repentigny, L’Assomption, Terrebonne, Mascouche, Blainville, Rosemère, Lorraine, Sainte-Thérèse, Bois-des-Filion, Sainte-Anne-des-Plaines, Mirabel, Lachenaie, Charlemagne, Le Gardeur, and Montreal. Frequently asked questions about permanent makeup
The most common procedures are permanent makeup for eyebrows, lips, and eyes (lash line or eyeliner effect). Depending on your needs, subtle adjustments can also be made to improve facial definition and balance, following an assessment.
Most people mainly feel tingling or a sensation of heat. An anesthetic cream is usually used, which makes the session very tolerable. Comfort varies depending on the area, with the lips often being more sensitive than the eyebrows.
Generally allow between 1.5 and 3 hours depending on the area and complexity. This time includes analysis, choosing the shape, selecting the shade, and then the procedure.
The area may be sensitive and darker at first. This is often followed by a phase of dryness or flaking. In most cases, the most visible effects last for around 7 to 10 days. The color stabilizes more completely over 4 to 6 weeks.
This is normal. Immediately after the session, the skin is more reactive and the pigment appears more intense. During healing, the color softens. Some of this variation is expected and is part of the process.
